Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – September 2023
Welcome to the September 2023 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is a “Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge” and today we are highlighting projects using our “Tic-Tac-Toe” selections. Please follow along with us as we share our creations.
My Tic-Tac-Toe selection was center, vertical; Red, Leaves, and Emboss! My project features Berry Burst as my red, the Irresistible Blooms leaves, and both heat and dry embossing. My color palette is: Basic Black, Basic White, Berry Burst, and Granny Apple Green.
Paper:
- 5 1/2 ” x 8 1/2 ” piece of Berry Burst, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
- 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock (card front piece)
- 1/2” x 2 3/4” piece of the Basic Black cardstock (sentiment piece)
- 1” x 4” piece of Glorious Gingham DSP (scalloped edge piece)
- Basic White scraps
Ribbon/Twine:
- 10” piece of Linen Thread
Instructions:
- Stamp splatter images at the corners of the card base with Berry Burst ink
- Dry emboss the Basic White card front piece with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder
- Die cut a gingham scalloped border using the scalloped edge die from the Scalloped Contours Dies from the Glorious Gingham DSP piece
- Adhere the scalloped edge piece to the left side of the dry embossed card front piece
- On Basic White scraps stamp 2 floral images in Berry Burst ink and several of the various sized leaves using Granny Apple Green ink
- Die cut floral and leaf images, arrange, and adhere to the card front piece
- Wrap linen thread around the card front piece, tie a bow, and use a Mini Glue Dot to secure it to the card
- Stamp sentiment on the Basic Black piece using Versamark and heat emboss is using white embossing powder
- Attach the sentiment to the card front with trimmed Stampin’ Dimensionals along the long edges, to adhere it over the Linen Thread
- Attach the completed card front piece to the center of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Attach the Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels
