Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project – July 2021

The July 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, The Adventure Begins, This month’s The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin Kit helps you celebrate those exciting new chapters in the most creative of ways with enough supplies to create twelve motivating cards—plus coordinating envelopes—all featuring the exciting colors of nature. The coordinating colors for this month are: Basic Black, Basic White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Night of Navy.

While the July kit was so much fun, sometimes you just have to change things up a bit. Because July flew by so quickly for me, I went super simple with my alternate card. I started with one of the panels from the kit and cut it down. The Sentiment was stamped first in the ink pad (Garden Green) which came with the kit, then I re-stamped with Versamark. This allowed me to heat emboss with clear embossing powder to given some “shine” to the sentiment. I added two more “glow” spots to the panel using a dauber and Whisper White ink. You can apply the clear embossing powder directly onto the Whisper White ink as it remains wet for a longer period of time, then just heat it as normal. The fireflies are stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The additional products I used to create this card are: Garden Green cardstock, Flirty Flamingo Designer Series Paper, vellum, white twine, Versamark, white embossing powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Whisper White Craft Ink, and the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.
