Around the World on Wednesday – May 2024
Welcome to May’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! Our theme this month is a “Sketch Challenge”. The AWOW Blog Hop team has come up with some amazing projects using the sketch below to inspire them!
For my project, I featured the Latte Love Bundle. Other products used are the A Little Latte 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP), the Deckled Circle Dies, the So Swirly Embossing Folder, the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins and Linen Thread. My color palette for my project is Pecan Pie, Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, Early Espresso and Basic White.
I used a paper piecing technique for the coffee mugs by first stamping the images onto some DSP then die cutting the mug shapes.The coffee inside is also a die cut using DSP. The Basic White piece was first dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder before a Deckled Circle Die was used to die cut the shape. The card base images were stamped with a tone on tone ink and the sentiment was heat embossed before attaching all layers to the card base.

You had me at coffee! I love how you used the steam as part of the sketch!
I really like that you’ve used the steam rising as the vertical strips and the even the ‘coffee’ is cut from DSP. Very nice idea. 🙂
I love the steam rising from the cups! Such a clever way to interpret the sketch elements.
It’s such a clever idea to use tampons instead of bands! These cups are so appealing! – too bad we’re too far apart to share a coffee ^^. –
