Around the World on Wednesday – April 2024
Welcome to April’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! Our theme this month is “This or That”. The AWOW Blog Hop team has come up with some amazing projects with their interpretation of this theme!
My “This or That” projects come from my need to utilize scrap pieces. The products featured in my projects are the Hooray For Surprises Bundle, the Deckled Circle Dies, and the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. I pulled my main colors from the Hello, Irresistable DSP; Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon. Then I added a few pops of color with Berry Burst, Bubble Bath and a shimmer of champagne with the More Dazzle Specialty Paper.
My initial project started as a card with a DSP card front. When I die cut a shape from the DSP, I decided to use Deckled Circle piece that was cut out to create a second project. I often do this when I need a couple of cards quickly as you can use many different products with this basic layout.
Which card do you prefer, This or That? Do you like the embossed card front card with the Deckled Circle Die shape or do you prefer the DSP card front card with the Deckled Circle negative?

THIS IS US!
Fabulous cards Teri, and I really love how effective the DSP background is with the watercolour look … but those embossed polka dots in the Pretty Peacock has so much texture … I just want to touch it. And the pops of pink over the dark background are wonderful. xxxx
Thank you Cheryll!
These are both so pretty Teri! These are of my favorite colors. I love the heat embossed flower, so I’ll have to go with “that” card!
Thank you Bree! That is my favorite too.
I really love both of them, but I have to choose this…… Love it!
Thank you Danielle!
Both cards are beautiful… but I think I like the card with DSP best!
Thank you Cheryl! I like that DSP too.
A great demonstration of the difference a change in background brings. I’m going to pick the dark, textured background just because I like the drama of dark background and I just love texture in a card. 🙂
Thank you Jan!
