Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project – August 2021

The August 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, The Hope Box, is about sharing hope and encouragement in a beautifully fun and easy way. It comes with an exclusive stamp set, a Classic Stampin’ Spot, and supplies to create nine cards with beautiful coordinating envelopes. In addition, the Hope Box is designed to be a keepsake box—keep mementos of cherished memories or reminders of what’s yet to come. The coordinating colors for this month are: Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Melon Mambo, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Poppy Parade.

Wow! This kit has so many possibilities for alternate projects. And, there are so many beautiful elements; from a variety of die cut pieces to sequins. For my first alternate card I toned down all the color a bit. I started with a Basic White Card base and added another piece of Basic White cardstock that was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Then I layered several elements from the kit; first a section that I cut from the large colorful die cut piece, then a piece of the Blackberry Bliss ribbon. On top of those layers I added a white twine bow. The sentiment was stamped on another piece of Basic White cardstock and attached to a banner piece with its end cut off. The sentiment piece was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a few sequins were added to finish the card.

The additional products I used to create this card are: Basic White cardstock, white twine, and the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
