Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – April 2022

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

My Card this month is a brightly colored “Thank you” card that I think any teacher would enjoy and features many new products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. These new products will be available for customer order on May 3rd. The product suite featured is the Tea Boutique Suite. My color palette is Basic White, Basic Black, Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, and Daffodil Delight.

The prep: I started by stamping the teacup, leaves, and tea bag images. Then I die cut those images along with the lemon pieces and several tea cups from adhesive backed Basic White cardstock. My sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black card stock using Versamark and white embossing powder and cut to my desired size. I attached the Basic White tea cups to a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut that piece with a Stitched Rectangle Die. Then I cut a 1/2″ x 3″ piece of wood grain DSP, a 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ polka dotted DSP, and a standard sized card base.

Putting it all together: The Basic White teacup piece was attached to the DSP, then I wrapped a piece of twine around it, tied a bow, and attached it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the wood grain piece as a base, I layered and adhered the leaves, teacup, lemon, and sentiments. I adhered a couple of twine pieces to the back of the tea bag and attached it to the striped teacup with a Stampin’ Dimensional. That layered piece was attached to the card front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The glossy dots were added last to complete the card.
