Creation Station – December 2025

The Creation Station Design Team is hopping again today! This month we are sharing our projects with the theme, “Wrap It, Tag It”. Please be sure to hop through each link to see the Team’s amazing projects.

This month’s project features the Road to Christmas Kit. Additional products used are the Creative Haven Dies, Pool Party 8 1/2” x 11” Cardstock, Real Red 1/2” Shiny Ribbon, Real Red & White Baker’s Twine, and Traditional Sparkling Sequins. My color palette includes colors from the kit pieces; Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Real Red.

The Road to Christmas Kit was used to make both the treat box and the tags. The box was made with a card base and I was able to create 8 treat boxes and 8 tags from the contents of the kit. To make the box I scored the card base as follows: long side at 1 1/4”, 3 5/8”, 4 7/8”, and 7 1/4”, short side at 1 1/4” and 4 1/4”. Fold at all score lines EXCEPT the pre-scored line at the center of the card base. From each of the long sides cut at each score line up to the scored intersection, then cut a slight angle to each of the small flaps from edge to the scored intersection. Starting from one end of the long side, fold in and adhere the first and second small flaps to the inside of the longer flap to create your box bottom. Then do the same with the last small flaps to the long flap next to it to create your box top.
I used the rounded tag die and coordinating hole die from the Creative Haven Dies to cut a piece of Pool Party cardstock and one of the printed kit card fronts to create the base of my tag. Then I just used the ephemera pieces from the kit to add to the tag and embellished it with the Traditional Sparkling Sequins. I tied a piece of Real Red 1/2” Shiny Ribbon around the box, ran baker’s twine through the tag and tied a bow to secure it to the ribbon band.
