Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – March 2025

Welcome to the March 2025 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is a “Watercolor Background” challenge. Today we are sharing our favorite ways to create unique backgrounds using a watercolor technique. Please follow along with us as we share our creations.

My card features the Spotlight On Nature Bundle that consists of a cling stamp set and dies. In addition to these products, I used some Floral Delight 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper, Earth Tones Shimmer Gems, and Linen Thread. My color pallet is Pecan Pie, Mossy Meadow, and Berry Burst.

The water color technique I used is super easy. This technique uses a large clear block, a Stampin’ Write Marker, a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water, and a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I used the marker to apply some ink onto random spots on the clear block, then spritzed the block with water. (The more water you spritz, the more diluted the ink will be.) Then I placed the paper onto the block, pressed it, and picked it back up. I blotted the paper with a piece of paper towel to remove excess water. Repeat this step if you want more color. On my card, I also flecked some additional ink from the Stampin’ Write Marker.
