Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – August 2023
Welcome to the August 2023 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Paper Piecing” and today we are highlighting projects using Designers Series Paper (DSP) for paper piecing. Please follow along with us as we share our creations.
Paper piecing was so easy using the Patchwork Pieces Dies! They made a fun patchwork design a breeze. My project also features the Just My Type Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Subtles DSP. My color palette is; Basic Black, Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, and Real Red.
Paper:
- 5 1/2 ” x 8 1/2 ” piece of Soft Sea Foam, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
- 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock (card front piece)
- 2 pieces of the Soft Sea Foam DSP from the Subtles 6” x 6” DSP
- Basic White scraps
Ribbon/Twine:
- 8” piece of Linen Thread
Instructions:
- Stamp floral images across the bottom of the card front with Soft Sea Foam ink
- Die cut 2 pieced of the DSP using the wavy pattern die; first with the hash mark pattern faced up, then the second with the heart pattern faced up
- Adhere pieces, alternating the pattern, to the Basic White card front piece and trim edge
- Attach the paper pieced card front piece to the center of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Stamp the typewriter image, the letter image with the heart and “you”, and two more hearts on Basic White scraps
- Fussy cut stamped images and attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tie a double bow with the Linen Thread and attach to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot
- Attach Adhesive Backed Sequins
