Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – December 2021
Welcome to the December 2021 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “The Sounds of Christmas”. We are taking inspiration from our favorite Christmas songs and carols and sharing our projects that these songs have inspired.
One of my favorite Christmas songs is “Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas”. I think I start humming this song when I see Christmas items in stores in October and November. As I was looking through my supplies I noticed that the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Card Pack has a card that uses a play on this song title, “It’s Beginning To Taste A Lot Like Christmas”. Now as I begin baking for the holidays, these are the new words I’m singing and I think they are stuck in my head permanently!
My card features the Gingerbread & Peppermint Cards & Envelopes and the Gingerbread & Peppermint Card Pack. This card did not involve any stamping and is a fun way to create simple and quick cards. I simply started with a card base and cut down various prints and fussy cut images to create my design and sentiment. I added the Real Red 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon to the patterned paper layers. Dimension was added to some elements with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added white twine and Subtle Shimmer Sequins for added interest.
