Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – July 2021

Welcome to the July 2021 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Christmas in July!” Too early to start thinking about Christmas? A stress free holiday season starts with early planning and getting a head start. This month’s hop will provide plenty of inspiration!

I was so pleased to see that the Poinsettia Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set is offered in the new annual catalog, it was one of my favorites from last year’s holiday mini catalog. For my card, I chose a color palette that incorporates both new In Colors and some old favorites: Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobler, and Basic White.

The card base is a standard sized card in Soft Succulent to which I attached a piece of Soft Succulent patterned paper (edges distressed) from the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper. I stamped the small poinsettia images in Cherry Cobbler and the leaves in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White card front panel. I added extra texture to the panel by adding flicks of Cherry Cobbler with a Stampin’ Write Marker, then dry embossed it with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.

Three more poinsettia images were stamped on scraps of Basic White cardstock, fussy cut and attached to the panel over the existing poinsettia images. I added plenty of holiday “bling”; Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the poinsettia centers and scattered Evening Evergreen jewels. The sentiment was stamped using Versamark on Evening Evergreen cardstock, heat embossed with white embossing powder, cut to size and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a white twine bow was added to finish the card.
