Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – May 2021
Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.
This month’s theme is “What’s New?”! Once you are done with each post, you can click on the “Next” button to go to the next post in line or scroll down to the list of Blog Hop participants and click on a name to go directly to that person’s post. Happy crafting!
My card this month features the new Expressions in Ink Suite. This suite consists of the Artistically Inked bundle, Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper, and the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack. The Color palette I used is Basic White, Basic Black, and Magenta Madness.
My card is super simple and uses die cut pieces to bring in a pop of color. The base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic Black cardstock scored and folded at 4 1/4″. I cut a 3 3/4″x 5″ piece of black and white striped paper from the Pattern Party DSP at an angle to create the angled stripes and adhered it to the base. I cut the detail floral dies from the Expressions in Ink DSP and the detail leaves from Magenta Madness cardstock, then attached the detailed floral piece followed by the detailed leaves to the card in strategic places using mini glue dots. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Basic Black cardstock and cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I tied a bow with white twine and attached it to the card with a mini blue dot, then attached the sentiment to the card over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last details added were sequins from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.
