Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – June 2022

Welcome to the June 2022 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month is a Monochrome Color Challenge; Shades of Blue. We are using as many or as few of the shades of blue offered by Stampin’ Up! There are so many fabulous shades to choose from!

I chose to use one of the new 2022-2024 In Colors; Starry Sky. I only used one shade of blue but used Starry Sky with different textures and patterns on my neutral base. My card features the Cottage Rose Bundle and my color palette is simply, Basic White and Starry Sky.

The prep: I started by cutting a standard sized Basic White card base. Then I cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White card stock (card front) and stamped floral images on it using Starry Sky ink. Using the dies, I cut leaves from the Starry Sky Designer Series Paper and floral pieces from Starry Sky cardstock. I heat embossed the floral image with Versamark and white embossing powder on a piece of Starry Sky cardstock and die cut it with a circle die. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment with Starry Sky ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it to size.

Putting it all together: I attached the card front to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the die cut florals and leaves to the card front. Then the circle piece was attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment was attached to the circle piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals that were trimmed to size. Finally, I attached the Starry Sky Decorative Matte Dots to finish the card.
