Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – August 2022
Welcome to the August 2022 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month we are showcasing our favorite ways to blend colors. There are so many ways to blend colors. This month I’m sharing a project using an easy beginner color blender technique!
My project uses a stamped line art image and a blender pen . The products featured are the Mistletoe Magic Bundle and the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper. My color palette is Basic White, Basic Black, Old Olive and Polished Pink.
The prep: I started by cutting a standard sized Basic White card base. Then I cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Gingham Cottage DSP and ruffed up the edges. On another piece of Basic White card stock, I stamped mistletoe images with Old Olive Ink. To color my mistletoe leaves, I run a blender pen over the lines stamped portion of the images dragging ink onto the non-inked leaves. Once I colored the leaves, I cut the images using the Mistletoe Dies. Then I stamped my sentiment using Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally, my sentiment was cut using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Putting it all together: I attached the DSP to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The mistletoe was adhered to the card front. Using mini glue dots, I adhered the Polished Pink ribbon. The sentiment was attached with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of silver trim was tied into a bow and attached with a mini glue dot. The last element was attaching Elegant Faceted Gems.
