Around the World on Wednesday – March 2021

Welcome to March’s Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! This month we are creating 3D projects such as, home decor items, treat containers, boxes, pop-up cards or whatever else we can come up with. I don’t often create 3D projects, so this month has pushed me out of my comfort zone.

The Love You Always Treat Boxes make 3D projects so simple. And, with Easter coming up, it was a perfect choice for sharing treats. My project this month features the A Wish For Everything Cling Stamp Set and the Brilliant Wings Dies.

Assembling the pre-cut and scored boxes took only a couple of minutes. I chose to decorate only the top of the box. I cut a piece of Hydrangea Hill DSP to size and attached it to the top. Next, I cut a piece of Basic white cardstock about a quarter of an inch smaller that the DSP. Using the Stitched Shapes I cut an oval in the center and embossed it using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. This piece was then attached to the treat box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock and attached to the front. With the smallest detailed butterfly die, I cut 3 butterflies out of vellum and attached them inside the oval with glue dots. The white twine was doubled and threaded between the layers and tied into a bow. Finally, the finishing touch was attaching a few sequins.
