Around the World on Wednesday – February 2021

Welcome to February’s Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Our theme this month is “You’ve Got Mail”. I shared recently that I don’t focus on full-sized Valentines cards in February, I create little love notes or treats for my local loved ones. However, the cards I do create in February are usually those with special sentiments to send throughout the year to friends or family who live in the Lower 48 (an Alaskan term). This month’s card is one of those special cards. My hope is that it will lift the spirit of the recipient. Who doesn’t love receiving a card in the mail unexpectedly?

My card this month is cute and fairly quick. It features the Posted For You Cling Stamp Set and the coordinating Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch from the annual catalog.

I have been a little obsessed with Soft Sea Foam and the use of blending brushes lately. My color palette includes Soft Sea Foam, Real Red, black and white. I used the polka dot decorative mask and a blending brush on the front of my card to create the dots. A piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock was cut using a curvy wave from the Curvy Dies. Stamped images were cut using the punch and a stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. The white twine, stamped elements and sequins were added to the die cut piece which was attached to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. You could make this same card in different colors and sentiments to quickly have a stack of cards to mail.
