Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – November 2023
Welcome to the November 2023 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is a “Color Challenge” and today we are highlighting projects using our selected colors to provide inspiration. Please follow along with us as we share our creations.
The color inspiration for today’s challenge are Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, and Azure Afternoon and we were challenged with using 3 to 5 of these colors in our project. I used these very “Spring like” colors to create a Christmas card.
The color palette for my card is Azure Afternoon, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, and Crumb Cake. I was able to get 4 of the colors incorporated. Can we call linen thread Crumb Cake? My project also features the Joy to You Cling Stamp Set and the Handcrafted Elements Dies.
Paper:
- 5 1/2 ” x 8 1/2 ” piece of Azure Afternoon, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
- 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock (card front piece)
- 2 – 1/2” x 4 /14” pieces of the Brights DSP (Azure Afternoon Stripes)
- 2 3/4” x 3 1/2” pieces of Azure afternoon, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Basic White
- Basic White scrap
Linen Thread:
24” piece of Linen Thread
Instructions:
- Adhere the DSP pieces to the back of the Basic White card front piece leaving about 1/4” DSP showing
- Die cut ornaments from the 2 3/4” x 3 1/2” pieces of Azure Afternoon, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Basic White using the Handcrafted Elements Dies
- Adhere the Crushed Curry and Granny Apple Green ornaments to the card front piece, then attach the card front piece to the card base using Stamping Dimensionals
- Adhere the Azure Afternoon ornament to the Basic White ornament to create a double layer, then attach it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tie a double bow with the Linen Thread and attach it to the Azure Afternoon ornament using a glue dot
- Stamp the sentiment with Granny Apple Green ink on the Basic White card stock scrap and cut to desired size, then attach to the card using Stamping Dimensionals
- Attach the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots
