Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – September 2022

My card this month features the Scary Cute stamp set and the Scary Silhouettes Dies from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. It also features the new Black & White Design 12″ X 12″ (30.5 X 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders. My color palette for this month’s project is Basic Black, Basic Gray, Parakeet Party, and white.
The prep: I started by cutting a standard sized Basic Black card base, a 4 1/8″ x 5″ piece of the Black & White DSP, and a 3 5/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. The piece of Basic Black cardstock was dry embossed with the Splatters 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a circle from a piece of Parakeet Party Glimmer Paper and the Scary Silhouettes dies to cut the haunted house and bats from a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment on another scrap of Basic Black cardstock with Versamark, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder and cut the words to size separately.
Putting it all together: I attached the DSP to the card base and the dry embossed piece on top the DSP. I attached the die cut pieces and sentiments on top of the glimmer paper circle and I attached a nest of black twine to the back. Then the circle piece was attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final step was to add the Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots.
