Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – November 2022
Welcome to the November 2022 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! We had a choice of themes this month; Color Challenge and/or CAS (Clean & Simple). Our color choices for the feature color was; Granny Apple Green, Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. We were also able to use the Neutral Color Family as complimentary colors.
I don’t know that my card qualifies as Clean & Simple (CAS), but I used Garden Green and neutrals as my color palette. My project this month features the Mistletoe Magic Bundle; Mistletoe Magic Cling Stamp Set and the Mistletoe Dies. My color palette is Basic White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Garden Green.
Paper Supplies:
- 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″
- 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock
- 1 sheet of piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
- Basic Black cardstock scrap
The prep: I started by folding my card base at the scored line. The edges of the Crumb Cake cardstock was “roughed up” before using the large mistletoe die to cut out a piece from it. (I’m using the negative for my project and will use the die cut piece for a later project.) Then, I stamped the large mistletoe image with Garden Green ink and used a blender pen to color in the leaves of the image. Once colored, the image was cut out using the large mistletoe die. Lastly, the sentiment was stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and fussy cut.
Putting it all together: I attached the Crumb Cake piece to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The image was attached the image using more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional and liquid glue where it overlaps the image. I separated the strands of the white twine, tied a bow, and attached it to the mistletoe stem with a mini glue dot. To finish the card I added three Elegant Faceted Gems.

Teri, I love this die cut behind the image for this project. Going to have to try it was a set and die combination I have. Or maybe I’ll have to grab this set before it’s gone! Thanks for sharing today.
Love the dimension and texture in your design, especially the negative die cut in the background. Simply beautiful card.
