Around the World on Wednesday – September 2025
Welcome to September’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! We are continuing to celebrate the blog hop’s fifth anniversary by CAS(e)ing AWOW team member Bree Renwick and incorporating this month’s theme “Remember When”.
My inspiration for today’s project came from a beautiful card made by Bree which was shared on her social media in August of this year. I’ve incorporated the theme into my project with a card of gratitude to let a special person know that their thoughtfulness and selflessness will not be forgotten.
My card features products from the Gathering Together Suite Collection; Gathering Moments Cling Stamp Set, Gathering Moments Dies, Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder, Gathering Together 12” x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Cajun Craze & Gold Dots. I also used some Gold Striped 3/8” Mesh Ribbon. My color palette is Basic Beige, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, and Early Espresso.
The multi-color leaves were created by using sponge daubers. I first inked up a dauber and transferred the ink to a section of the stamp, then added a second color in the same manner. Then, I stamped a few more with different color combinations. I even used the dauber technique to ink up the stamps for a single color image. I found that it created a better image.
