Around the World on Wednesday – November 2025
Welcome to November’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! We are continuing to celebrate the blog hop’s fifth anniversary again this month by CAS(e)ing AWOW team member, Sharon Hashimoto Burkert, for a “This or That” challenge with the theme, “All Wrapped Up with Gratitude”.
My inspiration for today’s theme came from a card made by Sharon shared on her Facebook page, As The Ink Dries, back in August. I made two cards taking inspiration from her card and changed up the orientation on the second card.
My card features the Fall For Toile Paper Pumpkin Kit. I used mostly elements from the kit, but embellished the cards with some additional products: Early Espresso Cardstock, Cajun Craze & Gold Dots, Low Profile Dots, and Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread Pack. Other options for the Low Profile Dots used on the first card could be Earthy Matte Dots, the Cajun Craze & Gold Dots, or the Loose Gold Sequins. My color palette is Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie, Timid Tiger, and Darling Duckling.
Which kit pieces did I use? For the first card (This), I used a grid line card base as is for my card base, a trimmed linen print card base for the mat layer, the tree trimmed from the pre-printed framed tree, a pre-printed fox, and a pre-printed sentiment. On the second card (That), I started with Early Espresso cardstock for my card base, then added the following kit pieces; a trimmed pre-printed cornfield piece, two pre-printed pumpkin bundles with a pumpkin trimmed off of one bundle, a pre-printed sentiment, and DSP trimmed from an envelope flap.
