Around the World on Wednesday – January 2026

Welcome to January’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! We are continuing to celebrate the blog hop’s fifth anniversary again this month by CAS(e)ing AWOW New Zealand team member Jan Clothier. The theme is “Paper Tearing, This or That”.

Jan loves to do a faux torn paper mask using a torn copy paper as a mask. I happened to find lovely “This or That” cards Jan made that did not involve using a torn copy paper mask, however it did use torn patterned paper. Jan featured it on her blog on November 13, 2025 at www.thinkingstamping.co.nz.

My cards feature the Made With Love Suite Collection; the Endless Love Photopolymer Stamps, Endless Love Dies, Made With Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Made With Love 3D Embossing Folder. I also used Linen Thread and the Pearls of Beauty. My color palette mostly comes from the DSP; Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Real Red, Strawberry Slush, and Secret Sea.

To create a “This or That” option, I swapped out the card base and card mat colors, leaving the embossed layer, torn DSP layer, and other elements the same. Sometimes a simple swap can really change the look of a card.

THIS IS US!

Gorgeous cards Teri, I love that the colour blocks are reversed. How on earth to choose between the two, I am not sure I can. xxxx
These cards are gorgeous. I will like the left one, no the right one, no the left one. I cannot choose.
Lovely and bright cards. My favourite is the white background. Funny that you’ve picked this one to case, as I did it the month we were caseing Sharon for AWOW!
