Around the World on Wednesday – December 2025

Welcome to December’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! We are continuing to celebrate the blog hop’s fifth anniversary again this month by CAS(e)ing AWOW Canadian team member Tina Zinck.

My inspiration for today’s project came from fun pop-up card Tina featured on her blog on November 20, 2025 (serenestamper.com). In addition to the measurements for the pieces she used, she also provided a link to a video tutorial. I challenged myself to use pieces from a kit to create an alternate fun fold card.

My card features the Road to Christmas Kit. I used mostly elements from the kit, but also added the following products: Pool Party 8 1/2” x 11” Cardstock and White Willow 12” x 12” Cardstock. The card was embellished with Linen Thread, Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems, and some Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to the trees. My color palette includes colors from the kit pieces; Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, and White Willow.

When I saw Tina create this pop-up card, I thought “This would make a perfect gift card holder. I followed her directions for creating the mechanics of the pop-up, then used various pieces from the kit to decorate the card front and inside of the card. My plan is to attach a gift card using a Mini Glue Dot to the piece that pops-up when the card is opened.
