Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – October 2021

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

This month I struggled a bit as I found that I had failed to pack any Autumn or Thanksgiving stamps and dies for my move. (What was I thinking?) Luckily I did bring my September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Haunts & Harvest, and used it in an alternative way to create my project. My project also features the Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp Set, the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper (DSP), and the Playful Alphabet Dies. My color palette is Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, and Basic White.

How did I use Haunts & Harvest? I punched out one of the die cut leaves, then used the negative as a template. The template was used to draw leaves on different colors and patterns of the Harvest Meadow DSP and fussy cut.

Instead of using the word “Thanksgiving“, I die cut enough letters from the Playful Alphabet Dies to spell “Giving” five times. Then, I used the “Thanks” stamp from Biggest Wish stamp set and made my card sentiment, “Giving Thanks”. Adhering the letters to a piece of cardstock was a breeze because I used an adhesive sheet on the piece of cardstock from which the letters were cut.

For the final touches to my card, I used some new embellishments from the August – December 2021 Mini Catalog; Matte Decorative Dots, Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, and Diamond Weave Ribbon.
