Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – January 2023
Welcome to the January 2023 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! The month’s theme is “Sketch Double Challenge”, a combination of a sketch challenge with the use of some “Glimmer & Shine”.
My project this month is another “Thank You” card which involves minimal stamping and focuses on the use of Designer Series Paper (DSP). The products featured are the Favored Flowers DSP, the Fragrant Flowers Dies, and a sentiment stamp from the Thanks A Bunch Photopolymer Stamp Set. My shine comes from the Enamel Dot Essentials. The dies cut some of the images from the DSP perfectly! My color palette is Fresh Freesia, Evening Evergreen and Basic Black.
Paper Supplies:
- 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
- 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of DSP (card front)
- 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock (card front)
- 1 sheet of DSP with the large floral images
- Basic Black cardstock scraps
The prep: I started by embossing the Fresh Freesia card front piece using the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embosssing Folder. I cut two large leaves from Basic Black cardstock and the large floral image from the DSP using the Fragrant Flowers Dies. Lastly, the sentiment was stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and fussy cut to desired size.
Putting it all together: I attached the DSP card front piece to the right side of the card base, then the embossed card front piece is attached to the left side of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The die cut leaves are adhered to the top and bottom of the card front at the right edge of the embossed card front piece. I attached the floral image with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I separated the strands of a piece of black twine, created a loop with one strand, twisted it into a figure 8 to create a faux bow and attached it to the back of the sentiment. The sentiment piece as attached using mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card I added three Enamel Dot Essentials.
