Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – January 2022
Welcome to the January 2022 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Sketch Challenge”. This is the first sketch challenge for this group. Sketch challenges are a great way to get your creative juices flowing and I often use a sketch when starting a new project. Sometimes I follow a sketch exactly, but other times I change it up a bit. Our extra challenge is to add some “Shimmer & Shine” to our project.
Here is the sketch we are using this month:
My card features many elements from the Sweet Talk Suite from the new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog; Sweet Conversations Photopolymer Stamps, Sweet Hearts Dies, Sweet Talk 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I used a simple color pallet: Basic White, Real Red, Petal Pink, and Blushing Bride.
This card comes together pretty quickly. I started with creating heart templates from Basic White Thick card stock using the Sweet Hearts Dies. Then paste embossed them on the bottom of a Basic White Thick card stock base using shimmery white embossing paste. This shimmery white embossing paste serves as my “Shimmer & Shine. Once this was dried I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach 1/2″ x 3” strips of DSP. My sentiment was heat embossed on Real Red card stock using Versamark and white embossing powder. I used a banner punch to create the banner ends, then added a bakers twine bow and some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
