Piccadilly Players Blog Hop – March 2025
Welcome to the first Blog Hop of the Piccadilli Players! We are a group of former Stampin’ Up! artisans (once an artisan, always an artisan) from around the world sharing what we love. This month we are sharing floral projects in our favorite colors.
My card features products from the Thankful Garden Bundle (the Thankful Garden Photolpolymer Stamp Set and Thankful Garden Dies), the Everday Arches Dies, the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder, Brushed Brass Butterflies, and Gold Twisted Thread. I used some of my favorite Stampin’ Up! colors; Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.
My card also features a few special techniques. For the background, I used the “smooshing” technique with a Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Writer Marker and a spritz of water. I created the base for the florals by die cutting an arch, embossed the arch piece with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder, and sanded the raised sections. My flowers are water colored using a bit of ink and a water painter, taking care not to over saturate, before fussy cutting them out.
