Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project – July 2020

The July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Summer Nights Kit is full of dainty die-cut fireflies, nighttime carnival cutouts, and enchanting stamped images of fireworks. The kit contains nine postcard-style cards, three each of three designs, with coordinating envelopes, plus nine die-cut tealight bags. The coordinating colors in this kit are: Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, and Night of Navy.

Every so often Stampin’ Up! offers a Paper Pumpkin Kit add-on. July’s add-on to the Summer Nights kit includes multiple traditional card bases and envelopes you can design with the extra pieces from the kit. The add-on can be ordered at through my Stampin’ Up! store, see below.

Another stunning kit! I was recently inspired by another demonstrator who made a card using the starburst technique and thought it would be a perfect base to my alternate card for this beautiful kit. After doing some research on the technique and watching an instructional video, I tried it myself. Although this was my first attempt at the starburst, I like the results and ended up making two cards.

The elements from the kit I used were the stamps, postcards, ink spot and fireflies. I added Whisper White card stock for the card bases and one of the labels. The other label was made with Night of Navy card stock and the sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. For a little sparkle, I added Whale of a Time sequins and a spritz of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. The jar shape was punched with the Jar Punch from Coastal Cabana cardstock. The Mason Jar Shaker Domes I used fit perfectly over the Jar Punched cardstock.
