Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – November 2022

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using ©Stampin’ Up! products.

Today we are sharing Christmas inspiration! This month I created a collection of cards using the same color block technique and nontraditional holiday colors. My projects feature the Mistletoe Magic Bundle (Mistletoe Magic stamp set and the Mistletoe Dies) from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. My color palette is Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Basic White, and Basic Black.

Paper Supplies:

5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic White Thick cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base), per card
3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock (card front), per card
Sheets of the following: Vellum, Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide, and Parakeet Party cardstock
Cardstock scraps of Basic Black

The prep: I started by stamping the mistletoe images on vellum, heat embossing them with white embossing powder and cutting them out with the Mistletoe Dies. I also heat embossed the sentiments on Basic Black cardstock with white embossing powder and trimmed them to my desired size. I cut strips of colored cardstock and adhered them to the Basic White card front piece. The strip sizes varied based on the layout and some needed some extra trimming once adhered to the card front piece.

Putting it all together: I attached the card front piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I attached the mistletoe images using mini glue dots. The sentiment was attached using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final step was to add the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
