Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – June 2021
Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.
This month’s theme is “Red, White & Blue”! Once you are done with each post, you can click on the “Next” button to go to the next post in line or scroll down to the list of Blog Hop participants and click on a name to go directly to that person’s post. Happy crafting!
Instead of going too patriotic with my card, I used the theme colors and created a birthday card for a sister who has a birthday on July 5th. My card this month features the Blossoms In Bloom Bundle and my color palette is Real Red, Basic White, and Misty Moonlight.
My card background is monochromatic with the focus of the card incorporating my pop of red and white. I stamped the large floral image from the Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set with Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then I used the large circle die from the Layering Circle Dies to cut a circle from the stamped floral image. To finish the stamped bloom images, I stamped the centers with Real Red ink and stamped over them again with Versamark and heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder to make the centers pop. My last stamped piece is the sentiment which was stamped with Versamark on Real Red cardstock, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and trimmed to size.
Using two small detailed flower dies from the Many Layered Blossoms Dies, I cut five flowers from Misty Moonlight cardstock with an adhesive sheet attached. To my Misty Moonlight card base, I attached a 1 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Misty Moonlight Designer Series Paper. Then I attached the outline pieces of the detailed flower die cuts to the card base.
The floral circle piece was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I attached a white twine bow to the circle piece with a glue dot. The sentiment was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last elements added were the clear Elegant Faceted Gems to the floral circle.
