Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – October 2022
Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using ©Stampin’ Up! products.
This month’s theme is “Thanksgiving”! Once you are done with each post, you can click on the “Next” button to go to the next post in line or scroll down to the list of Blog Hop participants and click on a name to go directly to that person’s post. Happy crafting!
Today we are sharing projects in the spirit of the holiday for giving thanks. My card this month features the Cottage Wreaths Bundle (Cottage Wreaths stamp set and the Country Wreaths Dies) and the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. My color palette for this month’s project is Basic White, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze.
Paper Supplies:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
- 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock (card front)
- Cardstock scraps of Basic White and Basic Black
The prep: I started by stamping wreaths on scraps of Basic White cardstock. I first stamped the wreath in Crushed Curry, then reinked the stamp with Crushed Curry, dabbed the stamp in Cajun Craze around the edges and re-stamped over the first image. This technique was used to make three wreaths. Next I dry embossed the card front piece with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment on a scrap of Basic Black cardstock with Versamark, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder and, with my paper snips, I trimmed one end to look like the end of a banner.
Putting it all together: I attached the three wreaths to the card front piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals and trimmed off the sections of the wreaths that went beyond the edge of the card front piece. The card front piece was then attached to the card base also with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A gold trim bow was attached with a Mini Glue Dot and the sentiment was attached with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final step was to add the Bumblebee Opal Rounds.
