Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – August 2021
Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.
This month’s theme is “Birthday”! Once you are done with each post, you can click on the “Next” button to go to the next post in line or scroll down to the list of Blog Hop participants and click on a name to go directly to that person’s post. Happy crafting!
You never know when you may need a last minute birthday card, but I never seem to have cards that are considered masculine. According to my husband, the card I made for today’s hop still doesn’t qualify as masculine. My project started off well by using the colors Basic White, Basic Black and Crumb Cake. Using the fern fronds from the Daisy Lane Cling Stamp Set also kept the card masculine. I used the masking technique and heat embossed them with white embossing powder, then added some splatter from the Color & Contour Photopolymer Stamp Set.
My sentiment came from the new host set from the Sale-a-bration catalog, In Your Words, which was also heat embossed. Apparently, things went wrong when I added lined thread and elegant faceted gems to my card front. All layers of my card were attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Oh well, I’ll have to try again…

Thank you for showing how stunning the more neutral colors can be. I do need to do more heat embossing. This just ups the game.I love all the textures for your card!
