Global Design Project Challenge #GDP338
This week’s challenge, Global Design Project (GDP) Challenge #338, is a sketch challenge. There is so many interpretations and inspiration provided by the Global Design Project Design Team. Please take a look at their beautiful projects.
My card features the Waves of Inspiration Bundle; Waves of Inspiration Cling Stamp Set and the Waves Dies. It also features the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper (DSP). My color palette is: Basic Black, White, Sahara Sand, and Coastal Cabana.
The prep: I started by heat embossing the wave image using Versamark and white embossing powder on a 2 3/4″ x 5 x 3/4″ piece of Sahara Sand card stock. I die cut another wave from the Waves of the Ocean DSP. A mini slimline card base, 6 1/4″ x 6 1/2″, was cut from Sahara Sand card stock and scored and folded in half at 3 1/4″. My sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black card stock using Versamark and white embossing powder and cut into three pieces.
Putting it all together: The die cut wave was attached to the card front over the embossed wave. I wrapped lined thread around the card front piece three times and tied a square knot. The sentiment pieces were attached to the card front using black Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the card front was attached to mini slimline card base with white Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final elements added were the clear Polished Dots.
Many thanks again to the Global Design Project Team for their inspiration!
