Creation Station – February 2025
The Creation Station Design Team is hopping again today! This month we are sharing our projects using sketches from the current catalogs.
The project I’m sharing today is my take on a sketch located on page 12 of the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog. Sketches are my favorite inspiration as you can get very creative with the elements used to replicate the layout. My card features products from the Friends Of The Ocean Suite Collection and the Terrific Toadstools Photopolymer Stamps.
I used a couple different techniques to create the water background; blending ink with a blending brush and water droplets on a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. My coral was cut from the dies included in the suite, but used a patterned side of the coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP). The sea life images were fussy cut from another sheet of DSP. For the background I embossed a piece of cardstock with the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder. I also added some Sunny Day Iridescent Dots and Linen Thread. My color palette consists of the colors from the DSP; Berry Burst, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Splash on a Basic White card base.
