Artisan Design Team Monthly Project – April 2024

For my April 2024 project, I was tasked with creating two projects using the Comforting Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Drizzling Droplets Cling Stamp.

For my first card I combined a Comforting Thoughts sentiment with the Painted Lavender Bundle. I used a faux emboss technique with die cut pieces for my Basic White card front piece to attach to my Crumb Cake card base. Then I used stamped and die cut Garden Green stems and Highland Heather lavender floral pieces. The sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black card stock and fussy cut to size. I used linen thread and Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to finish the card.

For my second card I combined Drizzling Droplets and Comforting Thoughts with the Planted Paradise Photopolymer Stamp Set. I inked the Drizzling Droplets stamp using three shades of green (Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, and Lemon Lime Twist) to create the ombré stamped image, then re-stamped the same image using Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. This background piece was attached to a Garden Green card base. The sentiment was heat embossed on Basic Black card stock and cut to size. I stamped (Garden Green and Copper Clay) and fussy cut two images from the Planted Paradise stamps. Lastly, I used Linen Thread to finish the card.
