Around the World on Wednesday – November 2023
Welcome to November’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! Our theme for October is a “Color Challenge”. The AWOW Blog Hop team has come up with some amazing projects with their interpretation of this theme!
Below is the color challenge Photo for this month’s theme. While I love all the Autumn colors and creating Autumn projects, I’m currently focusing on Christmas cards. So I pulled the beautiful blue, gold, red and gray to include on my Christmas card project.
My project features Balmy Blue, Wild Wheat, Real Red, and Pebbled Path. It also features the Beary Cute Photopolymer Stamp Set, the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, the Walk In The Forrest DSP, and the Garden Walk DSP from the 2023 September – December Mini Catalog.
Paper:
- 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” Balmy Blue cardstock scored and folded at 4 1/4” (card base)
- 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” Walk In The Forrest DSP (Balmy Blue with snowflakes)
- 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” Garden Walk DSP (Wild Wheat stripes)
- 1/2” x 3 3/4”, 1” x 1”, 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”, 3” X 4” Basic White cardstock
- 3/4” x 3 3/4” Pebbled Path Cardstock
Ribbon:
- 8” piece of White 1/2” Iridescent Ribbon
Instructions:
- Attach Walk In The Forrest DSP Piece to the card base
- Die cut Deckled rectangle from the 3” x 4” basic white card stock, dry emboss it with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, then attach to the center of the card using Stamping Dimensionals
- Stamp bear image using Balmy Blue ink on the 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” piece of Basic White cardstock. With a Black Stampin’ Write Marker, draw over eyes, mouth, nose, and claws of the bear and fussy cut the bear image.
- Stamp bear image using Wild Wheat ink on the 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” piece of Garden Walk DSP. Fussy cut the area of the image to fit over the top half of the bear creating a sweater and adhere to the front of the bear.
- Stamp scarf image with Real Red ink on the 1” x 1” piece of Basic White cardstock, fussy cute it out, and adhere it to the bear’s neck and sweater.
- Attach bear to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere ribbon folds to the 1/2” x 3 3/4” Basic White cardstock with Stampin’ Seal, trim ends, and adhere it to the card front.
- Heat emboss the sentiment on the Pebbled Path cardstock piece with Versamark and white embossing powder and attach to card over ribbon piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
