Around the World on Wednesday – July 2023
Welcome to July’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! Our theme for June is “CAS(e) a Team Member”. This CAS(e) has a twist, we must “tag” with team member in our selection and design of coordinating projects. Thank you Angie McKenzie for another fun CASE(e) challenge!
This year I have been paired with the talented Danielle Kassing from the Netherlands! I was so excited to be teamed up with Danielle, she was great to collaborate with. We chose to CAS(E) our fellow AWOW Team Member Mikaela Titheridge and we chose her beautiful “A Joyful Christmas” card to CAS(e). Our projects are a coordinating card and gift box set.
Our projects feature the Petal Park Cling Stamp Set and the Petal Park Builder Punch. Our color palette is: Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy and Berry Burst.
Paper:
- Envelope Treat Box
- 1 1/2 x 9 3/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 1 7/8″, 3″, 6 1/2″, 7 1/2″ (belly band)
- 2” x 2″ piece of Basic White cardstock (sentiment piece)
- Basic White cardstock scraps
Ribbon/Twine:
- 6″ piece of Linen Thread
Instructions:
- Put together treat box
- Wrap belly band around box with seam on top and adhere the band together
- Stamp sentiment on the center of the sentiment piece with Berry Burst ink and die cut with a circle die
- Stamp Leaf images with Night of Navy ink and fussy cut them out
- Stamp floral images with Berry Burst ink, color in petals using a blender pen, then fussy cut them out
- Cut linen thread in half and create two mini nests, keeping their shapes with glue dots
- Attach leaves, flowers, nests, and sentiment piece to the top of the box on the belly band in layers with a combination of your favorite adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Attach Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of flowers and around the sentiment piece
