Around the World on Wednesday – April 2023
Welcome to April’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! Our theme for April is “April Showers Bring May Flowers”. The AWOW Blog Hop Team are sharing their Spring inspiration. Because we have team members from around the world, spring may mean something different than others.
My project this month is a very Spring card, full of florals. My card features the Sentimental Park Photopolymer Stamp Set, the Petal Park Bundle, and the Regency Park Designer Series Paper. The color palette for my project is: Sweet Sorbet, Mango Melody, Basic Black and Basic White.
Paper Supplies:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
- 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock (card front)
- 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of the Sweet Sorbet pattern from the Regency Park DSP
- Scrap of Mango Melody pattern from the Regency Park DSP
- Scrap of Basic White cardstock
- Scrap of Basic Black cardstock
The Prep:
- Stamp the sentiment on the scrap piece of Basic White cardstock with Sweet Sorbet ink
- With Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker Stamp, ink and stamp the floral images around the sentiment
- Die cut the sentiment with the a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies
- Punch the flowers from the Mango Melody Regency Park DSP scrap
- Attach the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots to the center of the punched flowers
- Dry emboss the 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder
- Stamp the sentiment using Versamark on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and heat emboss it with white embossing powder, trim to desired size
Putting it all together:
- Adhere the dry embossed card front piece to the card base with Stampin’ Seal
- Attach the Sweet Sorbet pattern DSP to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Attach the round sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Attach the heat embossed sentiment using Stampin’ Seal and a Stampin’ Dimensional
- Attach the flowers using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tie a white twine bow and attach with a Mini Glue Dot

Love the way you have shown the sentiment. Beautiful x
Beautiful layout & colors!
This card is amazing! Love the layers
Totally gorgeous! The bright, primary colours pop against that lovely expanse of textured white space. The white-on-black sentiment is perfect.
