Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop – October 2022
Welcome to the October 2022 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop! This month’s theme is a “Sketch Challenge” and today we are sharing our interpretations of our sketch.
It was time for me to start thinking ahead to our next season and all the fun it brings. My project this month features the Joyful Flurry Bundle, the Joyful Flurry stamp set and the Frosted Flurry dies. My color palette is Basic White, Starry Sky, Fresh Freesia, and Tahitian Tide.
Paper Supplies:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Starry Sky cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (standard card base)
- 4 1/2″ x 5″ piece of Starry Sky cardstock (card front)
- 2 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic White
- Cardstock scraps of Basic White, Fresh Freesia, and Tahitian Tide
The prep: I started by using a water painter and splattering White Craft Stampin’ Ink onto the Starry Sky card front piece. While that was drying, I stamped various snowflakes in Tahitian Tide, Fresh Freesia, and Starry Sky ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut a circle that included a variety of those images. Next I die cut small snowflakes from Basic White, Tahitian Tide, and Fresh Freesia cardstock.
Once the ink splatters were dry, I die cut large and small snowflakes down the landscape layout center of the Starry Sky card front. Then I stamped the sentiment using Starry Sky ink on a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and cut it to my desired size.
Putting it all together: I attached the 2 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ Basic to the card base vertically on the center of the card base that is positioned in the landscape layout. On top of that I attached the card front piece on the center of the card base, over the attached Basic White piece, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using mini glue dots, I attached various colored small snowflakes. The Circle piece is attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment was attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional on one end and Stampin’ Seal on the end that lays on top of the circle piece. The last elements added were the Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels and a bow made with the Silver Simply Elegant Trim.
