This month’s theme is “Gift Tags” and today we are sharing our gift tag inspiration using products from current Stampin’ Up! catalogs. My projects use products from both the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and the September – December 2023 Mini Catalog. They are a bit more colorful than usual for me. My gift tags feature products from the Merry Bold & Bright Suite Collection and the Merriest Trees Bundle. I used so many colors; Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, and Pretty Peacock and DSP and embellishments introducing a few more colors.
Paper
- 4” x 6 1/4” Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 7 1/2” x 9” Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 3-2 1/8” x 4” DSP Pieces
- 2 1/2” x 7 1/2” Vellum
- Pool Party Scrap
- Melon Mambo Scrap
- Lemon Lime Twist Scrap
- Basic White Thick Cardstock Scraps
Embellishments
- 8” Petal Pink Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack
- 16” Lemon Lime Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack
- 8” Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon
Instructions
- Die cut 3 large tags from the 4” x 6 1/4” Basic White Thick Cardstock using the Tailor Made Tags Dies
- Die cut 3 more large tags from the DSP pieces. Then, stamp 3 little stars from the Merriest Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set in the top and bottom corners of the DSP tag with Versamark and heat emboss with white embossing powder on each one.
- Die cut tag hole reinforcement pieces from the Pool Party, Melon Mambo, and Lemon Lime Twist scraps.
- Attach the DSP tags to the Basic White tags, then attach a coordinating tag hole reinforcement to the front and back to each tag.
- Die cut 3 vellum circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies, then dry emboss them with the Snowflakes Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
- Attach vellum circles to the from of the tags with Stampin’ Seal in a place that will be covered by a tree.
- Stamp 3 trees with the Merriest Trees Photopolymer Stamp Set using each of the following colors; Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, and Melon Mambo. (Hint, my shade of Melon Mambo was achieved using the stamp-off method.)
- Then, stamp the tree details using each of the following colors; Pretty Peacock, Granny Apple Green, and Poppy Parade.
- Die cut trees using the 3-layer tree die from the Merriest Trees Dies.
- Die cut 3 stars and several garland pieces from the More Dazzle Specialty Paper.
- Adhere garland and stars to trees and attach trees to the tags using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Stamp sentiments from the Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set on Basic White scraps first with Poppy Parade, Pretty Peacock, and Blueberry Bushel, then with Versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
- Adhere sentiments to trees and add a dimensional on the ends hanging over the end of the tree.
- Attach Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs
- Thread a piece of coordinating ribbon through tag holes, tie, and trim ends. (Hint, the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon is doubled.)
