Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – February 2022

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

This month I am celebrating mothers. I took this opportunity to get a head start with this year’s Mother’s Day card. My card features the Flowering Tulips Bundle and other products from the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog. My color palette is Pool Party, Petal Pink, Gray Granite, and Basic White.

The prep: I started by die cutting the strip of tulips from Petal Pink card stock and dry embossing a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pool Party card stock with the Hive 3D Embossing folder. I also cut a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Flowering Fields DSP and roughed up the edges. My sentiment was heat embossed on Gray Granite card stock using Versamark and white embossing powder and cut to my desired size. A piece of White Frayed Ribbon was cut to the length of the sentiment piece and I cut the edge and pulled at loose edges for even more fraying and attached it to the back of the sentiment piece. I also attached a faux twine bow to the back of the sentiment piece.

Putting it all together: First I cut the tulip strip and attached it to the DSP. Then the dry embossed piece was attached to a standard sized Basic White card base, off centered. Then I attached the DSP piece, also off centered but in the other direction. The sentiment piece was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The polished dots were added last to complete the card.
