Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – July 2022

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

My Card this month features the Happier Than Happy Bundle and the Happy Forrest Friends Designer Series Paper from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. This bundle and designer series paper are perfect for the sweetest new baby projects! In addition to a few cards, I am going to tackle some scrapbook pages as well. My color palette for this month’s project is Basic White, Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, and So Saffron.

The prep: I started by cutting a standard sized card base from Smoky Slate cardstock. Then I cut 2, 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ pieces of the Calypso Coral paper and a 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the DSP with the trees from the Happy Forrest Friends DSP. I stamped images; a Calypso Coral fox, a Soft Suede Owl, and a So Saffron butterfly, and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped my sentiment with Soft Suede on Basic White cardstock and stamped off the leaves images in Mossy Meadow around the sentiment. Finally, the sentiment image was die cut using a circle die.

Putting it all together: The Calypso Coral DSP strips were attached to the card base about 1/4″ from each edge. A twine bow was tied around the trees DSP piece and attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment piece, butterfly, fox and owl pieces were also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, Elegant Faceted Gems were attached to complete the card.
