Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – August 2023

This month’s theme is “Fun Fold” and today we are sharing our fun fold inspiration. This month I created a Cut-Panel Open Gate Fold Card inspired by Rachel Tessman. I followed the measurements, cuts, and scores she provided in a recent video: https://www.youtube.com/live/5cP8hbHr8uc?feature=share.

Some special techniques I used were water coloring and faux embossing. The flaps and inside of the card were faux embossed. I attached an adhesive sheet to the back of a piece of card stock and then die cut my shapes. Once cut, they were super simple to attach to my card. For my leaves, I painted water diluted ink onto the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and let dry. Then I flecked water drops onto the same paper and let it dry again. Once dry, I die cut leaves from the watercolor paper.

My card features many new products from the Stamping Up! 2023 September – December Mini Catalog. The products from this catalog will be available to customers beginning September 6th. I used many of the products from the All About Autumn Suite Collection: Autumn Leave Bundle, Deckled Circles Dies, All About Autumn 6” x 6” Specialty Designer Series Paper, Copper & Natural Ribbon Pack, and the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots. My color palette includes: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow.
