Around the World on Wednesday – June 2023

Welcome to June’s Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) Blog Hop! Our theme for June is “Let’s Go On An Adventure”. We were challenged to let our imagination run wild with the interpretation of this theme… whether it’s an adventure in our craft room, in our backyard, down the street, to our favorite vacation spot or where our heart desires to go! Today the AWOW Blog Hop Team members are sharing their adventure inspiration.

My project this month is inspired by a summer time adventure… berry picking! My card features the Berry Harvest and the Something Fancy stamp sets. The color palette for my project is: Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Basic Black and Basic White.

Paper:

• 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, scored and folded at 4 1/4″ (card base)
• 3 ¾” x 5″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock (card front)
• 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of Basic White cardstock (berry piece)
• 2 ½” x 3 ½” piece of Basic White cardstock (front tag)
• 2 ¾” x 3 ¾” piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock (back tag)
• Basic Black cardstock scrap

Ribbon/Twine:

• 32” piece of Crumb Cake Twine

Instructions:

• Stamp Berry Harvest with Versamark onto card front and heat emboss with clear embossing powder
• Adhere the card front to the card base
• Stamp Berry Harvest onto berry piece with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
• Select a couple pieces of stamped image and fussy cut them out, then color berries and leaves with the Light Blackberry Bliss and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends
• Cut tag banner edges on both tag pieces, then rip the top of the white tag
• Adhere the berry pieces to the Basic White tag
• Adhere Basic White tag to the Blackberry Bliss tag
• Wrap twine around the top of the tag pieces and tie a bow
• Adhere tag to the card front piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals
• Stamp sentiment with Versamark onto a Basic Black cardstock scrap and heat emboss with white embossing powder
• Snip sentiments to size and attach sentiment pieces to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals
• Attach Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the front of tag
